SGS518 oxalate (30 mg/kg; i.p. for 30 min) protectsAbca4^–/–Rdh8 sup>–/–mouse retinas from light-induced damage^[1].

Animal Model:	Abca4^–/–Rdh8 sup>–/–mice are exposed at white light^[1]
Dosage:	30 mg/kg
Administration:	I.p. injection for 30 minutes
Result:	A marked preservation of the photoreceptor layer. Reduced formation of autofluorescent spots in mice. Protected retinal morphology.
