WS6 (WS6; WS 6) is a novel and potent small molecule modulator of β cell proliferation via modulation of Erb3 binding protein-1 (EBP1) and the IκB kinase pathway with important biological activity. WS6 is able to ameliorate diabetes, and induce concomitant increases in β cell proliferation and β cell number in RIP-DTA mouse model of β cell ablation.
