Focal adhesion kinases (FAKs) are non-receptor tyrosine kinases that play roles in regulating diverse processes, including cell adhesion, spreading, migration, proliferation, and apoptosis. They are over-expressed in many types of cancer. Y11 inhibits FAK1 autophosphorylation by blocking phosphorylation of Y397.[1] At 100 μM, it was shown to decrease cell viability of T47D breast cancer and C8161 melanoma cell lines.[1]
