CTP354 is a deuterated derivative of the GABAAreceptor modulator L-838,417.1It binds to the GABAAreceptor benzodiazepine binding site in non-α1subunit-containing GABAAreceptors. CTP354 has a longer duration of action than L-838,417 in a rat model of neuropathic pain induced by sciatic nerve ligation.
