Ribocil-B is the active S-isomer of ribocil which can inhibit flavin mononucleotide (FMN) with a KD of 6.6 nM.

Ribocil-B (S-isomer) is a tight binder to the FMN riboswitch and ribocil-A (R-isomer) does not similarly interact and display antibiotic activity[1].
