Pramipexole 2HCl (also known as SND 919), an agonist of the Gαi-linked dopamine receptors D2, D3, and D4, is a potent dopamine agonist of the non-ergoline class that is used for the treatment of Parkinson's disease (PD) and restless legs syndrome (RLS). Pramipexole also possesses low/insignificant affinity (500-10,000 nM) for the 5-HT1A, 5-HT1B, 5-HT1D, and α2-adrenergic receptor. Pramipexole is a partial/full D2S, D2L, D3, D4 receptor agonist with a Ki of 3.9, 2.2, 0.5 and 5.1 nM for D2S, D2L, D3, D4 receptor, respectively.
