Isoforskolin is the principle active component ofC. forskohliinative to China. Isoforskolin reduces the secretion of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced cytokines, namelyTNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6andIL-8, in human mononuclear leukocytes. Isoforskolin acts as an anti-inflammatory agent for the treatment of Lyme arthritis^[1].
