性质描述:

R型（即D型）：结晶，熔点240℃ （分解），[α]-158.4°（C=1,1mol/L HCl）。（+/-）型：片状结晶（水），难溶于水，乙醚中不溶，200℃不熔分解。

生产方法:

用对甲氧基苯甲醛在乙醇中与氰化钠、碳酸氢铵反应，生成对甲氧基苯海因，然后以氢氧化钠溶液水解，得到对甲氧基苯甘氨酸，后者以溴氢酸水解制得该品。

用途:

羟氨苄青霉素、头孢哌酮等β-内酰胺类抗生素的中间体（用D型）。
