脂氧素 A4(LXA4)由花生四烯酸合成，是一种内源性脂氧合酶衍生的类花生酸介质。它是有效的人蛋白激酶 C 激活剂。它抑制天然杀伤细胞的细胞毒性。LXA4 调节免疫系统和炎症。在大脑中，它调节神经元信号传导和慢波睡眠。LXA4 与大麻素受体结合。LXA4 在维持子宫内膜和生殖功能中起关键作用。LXA4 的缺失导致囊性纤维化(CF)的病理生理学改变。

Involved in contractile responses and acts as a potent activator of human protein kinase C. Stimulates rapid lipid remodeling and pertussis-sensitive release of arachidonic acid in polymorphonuclear leukocytes. Stimulates MAP kinases via activation of G protein-coupled receptors.
