性质描述:

白色叶片状结晶。熔点135.8-136.2℃（136-138℃）。易溶于醇、醚、苯和氯仿，微溶于水。在空气中稳定，遇光颜色变深。

生产方法:

水杨酸和苯胺以甲苯或四氯化碳作溶剂，于25℃以下逐渐加入三氯经磷（水杨酸：苯胺：三氯经磷=3：3：1，摩尔比）。加毕，升温沸腾反应至氯化氢气体不再逸出为止。从反应混合物中分离得到水杨酰苯胺。水杨酰苯胺也可采用水杨酸甲酯、水杨酸苯酯和新蒸馏的苯胺反应制得。

用途:

该品为防霉剂，主要用于棉织物的防霉，其钠盐可用于羊行，或聚居氯乙烯等塑料、橡胶、涂料、粘合剂、皮革等材料的防霉剂。药用级产品用于治疗皮肤癣病和药品的防腐。水杨酰苯胺加入50%的乙酸中，于55℃滴加溴素反应1h，可得到3，4'，5-三溴水杨酰苯胺。这是一种用于肥皂和化妆品的杀菌剂。水杨酰苯胺也用作其他精细化学品的中间体。
