性质描述: 白色片状结晶。熔点134℃,易溶于乙醇、乙醚、丙酮、苯、氯仿和乙酸乙酯,溶于热水,难溶于冷水。露置空气中逐渐变色。
生产方法: 将苯胺盐酸盐在酸性条件下加亚硝酸钠重氮化,然后与环戊酮-2-羧酸乙酯反应,制得α-羰基乙二酸苯腙。将所得苯腙溶于含20%硫酸的乙醇溶液中,回流反应4h,生成吲哚-2-羧酸-3-丙酸。将其加热至225-230℃,约半小时反应结束,将反应物溶于沸水中,加活性炭脱色,过滤。滤液浓缩,结晶,用热水重结晶,得3-吲哚丙酸。
用途: 用作植物生长刺激素。
