2,5-Dimethoxytetrahydrofuran is a tetrahydrofuran derivative that finds application in proteomics research and in organic synthesis. It is also used as an intermediate for atropine sulfate, which is an anticholinergic drug. Further, it acts as a precursor of butanediol.
