性质描述:

无色单斜结晶。熔点335℃，280℃开始升华。易溶于水，难溶于醇，不溶于醚。味甜。

生产方法:

将丙酮氰醇溶于甲醇，在冷却下通氨至饱和。蒸除甲醇后加入水和氢溴酸，回流反应2h，再减压蒸除氢溴酸。剩余物溶于甲醇，加入吡啶至刚果红中性，将游离子2-氨基异丁酸分离出来，收率30%左右。

用途:

用于生化研究。
