性质描述:

液体。沸点113-114℃（4.0kPa），相对密度0.984，折光率1.5174。闪点96℃。溶于水、醇、醚、氯仿。其盐酸盐，C8H12N2·2HCI=209.12，[5579-84-0]。为白色或类白色结晶。熔点148-149℃。极易溶于水，微溶于无水乙醇，不溶于丙醇。无臭，味微苦，易潮解。

生产方法:

以2-甲基吡啶为原料，与甲醛加成得2-羟乙基吡啶，然后加氢氧化钠脱水成为2-乙烯吡啶，再与盐酸甲胺在甲苯溶剂中加成得到本品。制备盐酸盐时，将该品溶于异丙醇，冷却到15℃，通入干燥的氯化氢至pH为2，即析出结晶，过滤，用异丙醇洗涤，立即真空干燥，得倍他司丁盐酸盐。

用途:

该品为血管扩张药。用于内耳眩晕症、脑动脉硬化及脑供血不足所引起的眩晕头痛等。
