Methocarbamol通过脱烷基化和羟基化，然后结合到葡糖苷酸和硫酸盐代谢。[1]

体内研究

Methocarbamol在马体内的中值终末半衰期，平均排出时间，平均吸收时间，和表观口服清除率分别为2.89 小时，2.67 小时，0.410 小时，和16.5 mL/min/kg。在马体内，Methocarbamol口服后，短暂的吸收时间和54.4%的适度全身生物利用度表明，其能够被快速吸收且广泛代谢。[1] 在猫体内，Methocarbamol以静脉注射或口服给药可用作中枢性肌肉松弛剂。[2] Methocarbamol (100 mg/kg)不会改变心率，心输出量，平均肺动脉压，收缩压，舒张压和平均动脉血压，呼吸率以及动脉血气，但是在Methocarbamol静脉注射给药的8匹马中，有5匹观察到轻度到中度的抑郁，所有Methocarbamol口服给药的马中，均观察到轻度到中度的抑郁。在马体内，Methocarbamol静脉注射给药后，在初始或快速分布期，血浆Methocarbamol浓度急速下降，终末消除半衰期从59分钟变动到90分钟。在马体内，口服给药后，峰值血浆Methocarbamol浓度出现在15到15分钟之间。[3]

Methocarbamol is drug, which is widely used as a skeletal muscle relaxant. It is also used in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, generally associated with painful muscle spasms, cramps, and dislocations.

应用

These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.
Methocarbamol may be used as a secondary pharma standard for the quantification of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations using liquid chromatography technique and spectrophotometric technique.
