性质描述:

白色至淡黄色结晶性粉末，无臭、无味，熔点大于129~131℃，易溶于水、乙醇、丙二醇，难溶于氯仿、丙酮、苯等。当水溶液呈碱性时会缓慢分解，与某些金属如铝等不能配用。

生产方法:

由硝基甲烷与甲醛、溴反应而得，有两种操作过程。（1）将硝基甲烷、30%甲醛、氯化钙和氢氧化钠按摩尔配比1：2：2：2加入反应装置，搅拌，在0℃以下滴加溴和二氯乙烷配成的溶液。在1h加完，溴的用量与硝基甲烷等摩尔。分出二氯乙烷层，蒸去二氯乙烷。得白色固体（粗品）。反应物的水层用乙醚提取，蒸去乙醚提取液中的乙醚，又得一部分粗品。将粗品合并用乙醚重结晶，即得纯品。（2）先制备2-硝基-1,3-丙二醇将硝基甲烷、30%甲醛溶液按摩尔比1：2加入回流反应装置，再加入2%碳酸钾，加热回流1h，冷却、析出结晶。用乙醚提取，干燥，蒸去乙醚，得2-硝基-1,3-丙二醇。然后将其溶解在甲醇中，加入20%甲醇钠甲醇溶液，在20℃搅拌，析出2-硝基-1,3-丙二醇钠。将此钠盐滤出，悬浮于干燥的乙醚中溴化：在0℃以下向2-硝基-1,3-丙二醇钠的乙醚悬浮液滴加溴，滴完后再搅拌10min。过滤，蒸去乙醚，即得2-溴-2-硝基-1,3-丙二醇。

用途:

化妆品的防腐剂，添加于香波、香脂和霜剂等化妆品加工过程中，在化妆品中的杀菌浓度为0.01%-0.02%。也可用于洗涤剂、织物处理剂等。
