Isotretinoin, a vital isomer of vitamin A, is implicated in the treatment of severe recalcitrant nodular acne disorder. It is the only drug known to operate against the major pathogenic factors of acne. It serves to diminish the sebaceous gland activity, thereby resulting in the correction of keratinization defect.

应用

Isotretinoin may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by various chromatography techniques.

Isotretinoin is a vitamin A derivative, obtained from the isomerization of retinoic acid in the body. It is therapeutically used to treat severe recalcitrant nodular acne. It is also reported to exhibit anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor activities.
Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.

应用

These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.
Isotretinoin may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations using reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography.
