性质描述:

针状结晶体。熔点50℃。溶于乙醇。可随蒸汽挥发。（亦有报道熔点为39-41℃的）。

生产方法:

由邻甲苯胺经溴化而得。将氯仿和邻甲苯胺加入反应锅，于20-25℃滴加溴素，约3-4h加完，然后升温回流10h。冷却，用氨水调至pH9-10，静置分层，收集氯仿层，回收氯仿即得成品。

用途:

作医药中间体，用于生产新型祛痰剂溴己胺盐酸盐（必嗽平）。
