性质描述: 环糊精是呈环状的低聚葡萄糖。通常是由6个、7个或8个葡萄糖单元通过α,1-→4键环状相至连接的结晶体。分别称α-、β或γ-环糊精[α-Cyclodex-trin或 Cyclohexaamylose,β-Cyclodextrin或Cyclo-heptaamylose,γ-Cyclodextrin或Cyclooctaamylose]。环糊精不具有还原性末端，对酸有一定的稳定性，普通的淀粉酸难于将它们水解。各种环糊精的性质见下表： γ- 葡萄糖数目 8 分子量  10空间直径（×10-8m） 1297.15空穴深度（×10-8m） 7-8结晶形状（无水） 棱柱状比旋光度[α]D25水 +177.4°溶解度 23.2(g/100g水，25℃)与碘的颜色反应 紫褐
生产方法: 环糊精是1891年由Villers发现的，本世纪初又分离成功α及β环糊精。1972-1973年制造环糊精酵素（即环糊精葡糖转位酶，简称CGT-ase）的细菌发现，特别是其中的嗜碱性细菌，对于大规模生产环糊精具有十分重大的意义。以马铃薯、玉米、小麦等加工的淀粉为原料，经下列过程可得环糊精：淀粉悬浮液[70-80℃液化][60℃与乙醇反应]、加热失活、过滤、浓缩干燥。
用途: 环糊精在环状结构的中心具有空穴，内部有-CH-与葡萄糖甙结合的氧原子，呈硫水性，葡萄糖2位、3位和6位的-OH基呈亲水性，可通过微弱的范德华力将其他分子络合成包接物。能被环糊精包接的物质很多，包括稀有气体、卤素、染料、香料、药物、食品、农药和防腐剂等。包接后，其稳定性、挥发性、溶解性、反应性都有所改善。环糊精的这种特殊作用，使它成为具有广泛应用价值的包接材料。1.在医药工业中的用途利用环糊精能与药物生成包接物（包囊化），可以使（1）不稳定的药物稳定化；（2）潮解性、粘着性或液体药物粉末化；（3）难溶性或不溶性药物可溶化（增溶）等。2.在农药工业中的用途环糊精包接稳定化，某些农药则可耐贮存及提高杀虫效力。3.在食品工业中的用途环糊精用于食品工业，具有下述作用：（1）特异臭味的消除与掩盖；（2）食品组织结构的提高与改良；（3）苦涩味道的减轻与除去；（4）抗氧化作用；（5）风味的保持与佳化。4.在日用化学工业方面的用途 在化妆品制造中也可用环糊精作乳化剂及品质改良剂。它还具有脱臭（如除口臭）与防腐作用、可用于牙膏、牙粉的制造。5.其他用途 在环境保护中可作为一种含油污水的处理剂。环糊精的水溶液用来清洗油槽，并可回收处理其废液，得到燃料油。6.环糊精在化学领域的用途 环糊精是一种有价值的化学试剂。当存在它的时候，荧光色素的荧光强度会显著增大，故可用于蛋白质、氨基酸的分析；还可用它来分离长链有机化合物、外消旋体等。此外由环糊精制成的吸附剂能用作色谱分析的吸附。这一反应还可在苯（或乙腈）中进行，尽管氰化钾不溶于苯，但如果加入18-冠-6，则不仅能发生反应，而且产率可高达95%。18-冠-6的毒性：大鼠的口服致死量为300mg/kg。对眼睛、皮肤有刺激性。

Gamma-cyclodextrin (γ-CD) is a cyclic α-1,4-glucan linked oligosaccharide that is widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. In drug delivery, γ-CD can be used as a complexing agent because it forms an inclusion complex with a drug molecule. The complex of cyclodextrin increases the aqueous solubility and dissolution rate of the drug, which is useful for the delivery of the medical agent to a biological system.

应用

γ-Cyclodextrin can be used as a precursor for the synthesis of:

  • Octakis-(2,3-di-O-methyl-6-O-carboxymethyl)-γ-cyclodextrin sodium salt (ODMCM). ODMCM is used in capillary electrophoresis as a chiral resolving agent.
  • Water-soluble cyclodextrin thioethers derivatives for the transportation of hydrophobic drugs.
