性质描述:

无色透明易流动挥发性液体。沸点50.2℃，相对密度1.86（20/4℃），折光率1.3691。可与有机溶剂互溶，微溶于水。有不愉快的芳香气，味甜，有灼感。性质稳定，不燃烧爆炸。

生产方法:

由三氟三氯乙烷经消除、加成、重排、还原等步骤制得。

用途:

该品为常用的新型全身吸入麻醉药。麻醉作用较乙醚强而迅速，诱导期很短，但镇痛和肌肉松驰作用不强，用量少，无刺激性。可用于小手术或复合麻醉。该品的缺点是抑制心脏和扩张血管，能使血压下降，脑血管扩张导致颅内压升高和对呼吸中枢有抑制作用。

生化/生理作用

Inhalation anesthetic. In an effect believed to be independent of anesthesia, halothane inhibits synthesis of 5-hydroxytryptamine in brain tissue, probably at the tryptophan hydroxylase step.
