一般描述

3,6-二氧杂-1,8-辛二硫醇不具有挥发性。
2，2′-(亚乙二氧基)二乙硫醇(EDT)是基于二硫醇的交联剂，可用于硫烯光聚合，获得交联的聚合物薄膜。

应用

EDT可以与不饱和橄榄油交联，通过可再生资源形成光致环保薄膜。它可用于合成生物阳极，制造用于葡萄糖传感应用的生物燃料电池(BFC)。也可以用于其他应用，如改进金纳米团簇(AuNCs)的光学性能和开发生物介导的合成聚酯。
在研究中使用3,6-二氧杂-1,8-辛二硫醇(DODT)对肽进行切割，以建立治疗慢性恰加斯病的合成肽血清学方法。DODT可用于在基于Fmoc的肽合成中，对非恶臭清除剂进行开发。
