(Acetylacetonato)dicarbonyliridium(I) is a catalyst for isomerization and anti-Markovnikov arylation of olefins. It is also a reactant for oxidative addition of perfluoroalkyl iodides, synthesis of iridium heterocycles, scaffolding of iridium complexes, metal carbonyl cluster synthesis, and mixed-bridged bimetallic d8 complex synthesis.
