性质描述: 白色结晶粉末。熔点175-175.5℃。溶于热醇、丙酮和冰醋酸，极微溶于水。在空气中渐变红色。
生产方法: 由苯肼与尿素反应而得。将苯肼、尿素加入二甲苯中，回流反应32小时，放置过夜，过滤出粗品。再用乙醇和少许乙酸的混酸合溶剂溶解，迅速冷却结晶，过滤后用乙醇再泡洗一次，滤干即为成品。
用途: 用于比色测定铬、汞、铅、测定重铬酸盐的氧化还原指示剂，汞量法测定氯化物和氰化物的吸附指示剂，检定镉、铜、铁、钼和钒等。
