性质描述: 白色结晶。熔点214℃，在20℃水中溶解度220g/100ml。易溶于醇，微溶于苯及其他烃类。0.1M水溶液的pH为4.5，高温分解，无沸点。
生产方法: 硝基甲烷和甲醛在碱性条件下缩合而得。原料消耗（kg/t）硝基甲烷（≥95%） 634甲醛（≥30%） 2120
用途: 无生命物体用消毒杀菌剂。用于循工业水系统、切消油、非蛋白胶和浆料中，用以抑制细菌繁殖。药物缓备酸胺中间体。大鼠经口LD50为1900mg/kg，小鼠为1900mg/kg。
