性质描述:

白色至微带棕色叶状的结晶。熔点91℃（无水物），83℃（三水合物），124℃（一水合物）。易溶于水、醇和醚。易潮解。

生产方法:

由萘经磺化而得。以萘为原料，用98%的硫酸作磺化剂，于160-166℃磺化而得。在磺化过程中，生成少量α-萘磺酸副产物，采用加热的方法，可使不稳定的α-萘磺酸于140-150℃水解脱去磺酸基，成为萘及硫酸，用水蒸气即可将萘吹出。在水解吹萘时，要加少量碱液，以中和部分硫酸。它同时也与萘磺酸作用，生成β-萘磺酸钠盐结晶，经过滤即得成品。

用途:

用于生产2-萘酚、2-萘酚磺酸、2-萘胺磺酸等染料中间体。将该品与甲醛缩合可制得扩散剂N（扩散剂NNO）。
