性质描述: 熔点58-60℃。
生产方法: 由苯甲酰氯经缩合、还原而得。1.缩合在干燥的反应锅内，加入氯苯和无水三氯化铝，搅拌升温至50℃，滴加苯甲酰氯。加毕，在100-110℃反应5.5h，慢慢放入微酸性冰水中，搅匀后静置，分去上层清液，沉淀甩滤，水洗至中性，甩干。得4-氯双苯酮。收率为95%。2.还原将4-氯双苯酮、液碱加入反应锅，搅拌升温至100℃，慢慢加入锌粉，控制温度在110-125℃。加完后反应8h。静置，分取油层，用热水和少量盐酸洗涤，再用热水洗至pH为6.5，加苯搅拌溶解。静置，分取苯层，蒸苯，余液为成品。
用途: 用于制造抗过敏药西替利嗪。
