性质描述:

无色片状结晶，可燃。熔点134-134.4℃，沸点294.5℃（13.3kPa），243.5℃（2.0kPa），相对密度1.2705（20/4℃），折射率1.422，摩尔燃烧热5.424MJ/mol。溶于酒精和乙醚，微溶于水，1g该品溶于700ml水或60ml沸水。

生产方法:

以天然的蓖麻油或已二酸单酯为原料制得。用乙烯、四氯化碳经聚合反应也可得到癸二酸，但目前世界上工业生产的癸二酸几乎全部都是用蓖麻油作原料的。1.蓖麻油裂解法蓖麻油在碱作用下加热水解生成蓖麻油酸钠皂，然后加硫酸酸解生成蓖麻油酸；在稀释剂甲酚的存在下，加碱加热到260-280℃进行裂解，生成癸二酸双钠盐及仲辛醇和氢气，裂解物经水稀释后，加热加酸中和，把双钠盐变成单钠盐；再用活性炭脱色后的中和液煮沸加酸，使癸二酸单钠盐变成癸二酸结晶析出，再经分离、干燥即得成品。原料消耗定额：蓖麻油（工业品）2100kg/t、硫酸（98%）1600kg/t、烧碱（95%）1200kg/t、甲酚（工业品）100kg/t。2.石油正癸烷发酵法利用200＃溶剂油或166－182℃馏分中分离制得的正癸烷，以19-2解脂假丝酵母发酵制得癸二酸。3.新环戊酮法以钯盐-铜或铁为催化剂，在乙醇、丙醇或其他醇的溶剂中，在40－60℃低温和常压的缓和条件下，将环戊烯用空气氧化生成环戊酮，然后用铁催化剂氧化和二聚而成。

用途:

主要用作癸二酸酯类增塑剂和尼龙塑模树脂的原料，还可用作耐高温润滑油的原料。其主要酯类产品是甲酯、异丙酯、丁酯、辛酯、壬酯和苯甲酯，常用酯是癸二酸二丁酯和癸二酸二辛酯。癸二酸增塑剂可广泛用在聚氯乙烯、醇酸树脂、聚酯树脂和聚酰胺模塑树脂中，由于其低毒和耐高温的性能，所以经常用于一些特殊用途的树脂中。用癸二酸生产的尼龙模塑树脂具有较高的韧性和较低的吸湿性，也可加工成很多特殊用途的产品。癸二酸还是橡胶的软化剂、表面活性剂、涂料及香料的原料。

Sebacic acid is used as a monomer for nylon 610, plasticizers, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, cosmetics and candles. It is also used as intermediates in antiseptics, aromatics and painting materials. It is used in the synthesis of poly(glycerol sebacate) and novel bio-nylon. It finds application as adhesives, corrosion inhibitors and solvents. Its derivative, diethyl Sebacate is used in plastics manufacturing and engineering, as well as drug delivery procedures through the use of biodegradable encapsulations.
