性质描述:

无色液体。冰点11.8℃，沸点84℃（0.133kPa），相对密度1.070，折射率1.4770，粘度（20℃）22Pa·s，闪点（开杯）128℃，易溶于水、乙醇和丙酮，微溶于苯。几乎不溶于低级脂肪烃或芳烃。能参与酯化、烷基化、环化、取代、加成和异构化等反应。有顺式和反式两种，工业品常为混合物，含顺式的成分较多。

生产方法:

由丁炔二醇催化加氢而得。将40%丁炔二醇水溶液与50%雷尼镍混合后加入阻化剂氨水，通氢，压力为0.5MPa左右，至理论吸氢量为止。过滤，滤液减压蒸馏，收集110-114℃（8kPa）馏分，得丁烯二醇。

用途:

主要用作制取杀虫剂、农业化学品和维生素B6的中间体，少量用于聚合物生产。
