体外研究

Levetiracetam和相关化合物与成纤维细胞中表达的SV2A结合，表明SV2A足够用于Levetiracetam结合。[1]在新鲜离体的大鼠CA1海马神经元中，Levetiracetam不可逆抑制平均大约18%的高电压激活的(HVA)钙离子电流。Levetiracetam选择性抑制CA1锥体海马神经元的N型Ca2+通道。[2] Levetiracetam逆转海马神经元中DMCM对GABA引起的电流的抑制作用。[3]

体内研究

Levetiracetam (17 毫克/千克) 对声音诱发的小鼠阵挛性惊厥产生有效的抑制作用，该防护效应被β-咔啉FG7142的共同给药废除。[3]对完全杏仁核刺激的大鼠，即颞叶癫痫模型，Levetiracetam对病灶性和二次全身性发作表现出有效的抗痉挛活性。Levetiracetam (13 毫克/千克，27毫克/千克或54 毫克/千克，腹腔注射)剂量依赖性抑制反复杏仁核刺激诱发的癫痫发作的严重程度和持续时间。Levetiracetam在大鼠体内具有相对短的半衰期(大约2-3小时)。[4] Levetiracetam (5.4 毫克/千克到96 毫克/千克，腹腔注射)剂量依赖性抑制声源性惊厥易感大鼠乱跑和强直阵挛性惊厥。在癫痫小发作的GAERS模型中，Levetiracetam显著抑制自发的锋电位-和-波放电(SWD)，但是留下根本的EEG追踪标准。[5]

应用

These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. Levitiracetam may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by various chromatography techniques and spectrofluorimetric technique.
